how can we do this?

we're open to suggestions, but here are some ideas:

Many organisations handle large amounts of money while at the same time being very hierarchically structured. We think money and hierarchy only creates differences between us instead of unity while simultaneously making real change even harder to achieve.

So what can we do instead?

We believe in something called solidarity, you might have heard about it. With solidarity we can create communities built on our likeness, not our differences.

Our movement takes inspiration from the concept of Mutual Aid which we believe can be a good way to execute our vision.
Mutual Aid is when everyday people get together to meet each other’s needs, with the shared understanding that the system we live in is not designed to support us, and that we can in-fact meet them together, right now, without having to relentlessly pressure power structures to do the right thing. Mutual Aid is an idea and practice that is based on the principles of direct action, cooperation, mutual understanding, and solidarity.

Mutual Aid is not charity, but the building and continuing of new social relations where people give what they can and get what they need, outside of unjust systems of power. It is the understanding that we live in an unjust society that divides us from ourselves and one another while separating us from creating meaningful bonds together, and that it is often better to take our lives into our own hands and solve our problems because we are all in this together.

A very important part of this is who decides, so what can we use instead of hierarchy?

Well, there is a little something called Sociocracy.
Through Sociocracy we can take well based desicions together, where everybody contributes and is valued.

We believe the limits and boundaries that we have been told are very outdated and destructive.

We also believe that whatever issues we as humans face, we can overcome them, together.

Does it sound like something you want to be a part of?
